Hand painted china is beautiful and unique as it portrays the artists emotions and visions for the subject he or she is creating. This "Clusters of Currants" motif cabinet plate, circa 1900, was created by a very talented artist with great attention to detail and subject naturalism.
The plate is ablaze with clusters of currants in shades of red and green nestled among autumn colored leaves in shades of green, rust and blue/gray. The muted background is a combination of soft yellow, blue and brown.
The gently scalloped plate measures 8" across with delicate gold edge. It is artist signed "Moser" on the front. The white ware blank is stamped "Bavaria". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Lovely.
