Hand painted china is beautiful and unique as it portrays the artists emotions and visions for the subject he or she is creating. This "Oak Leaves & Acorns" motif cabinet plate, circa 1900, was created by a very talented artist with great attention to detail and subject naturalism.
The plate is ablaze with a gorgeous autumn image of acorns nestled among shaded green, yellow and brown oak leaves. The muted background is a combination of soft yellow, blue and cream. The wide pinkish brown border is decorated with gold scrolls and spider webs ushering in the fall season.
The gently scalloped plate measures 8" across with delicate gold edge. Artist signed on the front "Moser". The white ware blank is stamped "Bavaria". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Lovely.
