Hand painted china is beautiful and unique as it portrays the artists emotions and visions for the subject he or she is creating. This "Blackberries" motif cabinet plate, circa 1900, was created by a very talented artist with great attention to detail and subject naturalism.
The plate is ablaze with lush, ripe blackberries, nestled among white blossoms and shaded green and tan foliage. The muted background is a combination of soft green, blue, apricot and lavender.
The gently scalloped plate measures 8" across with delicate gold edge. The white ware blank stamped "Limoges France". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Lovely.
