Rubina is a heat sensitive glass that shades from clear (crystal) on the bottom to a pale/cranberry red on the top. This lovely Rubina Crystal Enameled Vase, circa 1900, as all rubina crystal glassware has a cranberry top portion which slowly fades to clear at the bottom. The vase has a round bulbous bottom and outward flowing neck. The base is colorfully decorated in shades of white, green, yellow, gray, black and blue enamel, forming a motif of flowers and foliage surrounding several large sea shells. From the Bohemian area of Europe with Moser-type decorations. The vase measures 4" in height, 3 1/8" across the top and 2 1/2" across the base. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; several tiny flat nicks on the top edge.
