This gorgeous flow blue luncheon plate is the "Argyle" pattern, circa 1896, made by the W. H. Grindley Company. The pattern consists of shaded dark blue plumes and floral, with gold highlights, on a white blank with no trim. The luncheon plate measures 8 1/2" in width and is marked in blue with the printed globe and steam boat mark, circa 1891-1914, "Argyle - Trade Mark - W.H.Grindley & Co - England - Rd No 289457 - F.B." There are no cracks, chips or repairs; minor crazing and utensil marks due to careful use.
