Hand painted china is so beautiful no matter if done in a factory, professional decorating studio or in a small home-studio environment. The overall quality of the piece is what really matters. This beautiful oval dresser/serving tray, circa 1900, was expertly decorated in a home-studio environment.
The floral subject matter and professional execution of this tray is exceptional. The piece is fully decorated with gorgeous variegated purple-to-white violet blossoms nestled among foliage in shaded green, cream and tan against a mottled background of cream, blue, purple, lavender and tan. The tray measures 11 1/2" in length and 7 1/4" in width. The porcelain blank is stamped "T & V Limoges France", circa 1892-1907. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Wonderful piece for display or use.
