This lovely floral cabinet plate, circa 1920, depicts a cluster of crimson and white cyclamen blossoms nestled among shaded green, crimson and gray-green foliage. The background is soft white with wide gold outer rim. The plate is signed "Henry" the original artist of this motif. The factory decorated plate has used a technique called "Mixtion", a process of combining transfer designs along with some hand painted highlights. The plate measures 8" across and is stamped with a crown, crest and the initials P.T. Bavaria. This denotes the Tirschenreuther Porcelain Factory, operational from 1838-1927, when it was taken over by the Hutschereuther company. Also stamped "Bavarian China - Hand Painted" and "2669/28". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint.
