In 1936 the Red Wing Union Stoneware Company changed its name to Red Wing Pottery, Inc. Some of the various items of stoneware produced by the Red Wing Potteries of Red Wing, Minnesota range from vase, plates, dinnerware, wall pockets, coolers, jugs, figures and trivets. In 1967 the Red Wing Pottery plant closed its doors.
This lovely modern Ewer Vase was pictured in a 1954 catalog. Overall high glaze lustre gray exterior and lustre pink interior. A pleasing, modern shape with sculptured handle and leaf-shaped base. The ewer vase measures 7 1/2" in height and 6" from spout-to-handle and 4" across the base. Marked on the base "1356 - Red Wing - U.S.A." There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint.
