In 1936 the Red Wing Union Stoneware Company changed its name to Red Wing Pottery, Inc. Some of the various items of stoneware produced by the Red Wing Potteries of Red Wing, Minnesota range from vase, plates, dinnerware, wall pockets, coolers, jugs, figures and trivets. In 1967 the Red Wing Pottery plant closed its doors.
This lovely embossed "Fan" vase was introduced in 1939 and was in production through 1966. Overall matt green exterior and citron yellow interior. A pleasing, yet simple, fan shape, flared top, with snail curl at the base. The vase measures 7 1/2" in height, 7 3/4" across the fan top and rests on a 4 3/4" X 4" base. Marked on the base "Red Wing - U S A - 892". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint.
