A wonderful English hallmarked silver plated double holder for art glass sweet meat or bon bon bowls, circa 1890. The sculptured rectangular holder is engraved with a delicate leafy motif, graceful handle separating the two bowls and rests on four geometric designed feet. The piece measures 10 1/2" in length, 5 5/8" in width and 5" in height. The openings to accommodate the pair of bowls measure 3 3/4" across. It is incompletely stamped with an English hallmark and pattern number "467". There are no damages of missing pieces; original aged patina. A double holder is quite unique and rare.
