The carnival glass of interest to most collectors is a iridized pressed glass that was produced from shortly after the turn of the century into the late 1920's. Starting in 1907, the Fenton Art Glass Company became the first company to produce this type of glass and became one of the leading producers.
This lovely marigold carnival fluted footed bowl is the "Peacock & Grape" pattern. The bowl is decorated with intermittent cartouches of a peacock with full tail plumage and grape leaves with bunches of grapes and rest on three curved feet. The bowl measures 8" across the top and 3 1/2" in height with nice marigold iridescence. There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
