Founded in 1937 in Providence, Rhode Island, Carl-Art was owned by Arthur Loercher and Carl Schraysshuen. The company made jewelry in smaller, classic designs, some featuring rhinestones, sterling, and gold-filled fittings. They sold under their own name and also made jewelry for other companies including Walter Lampl. Carl died in 1953 and his wife sold their half of the company. The company closed in 1976.
