"Carl Art" Gold Filled Floral Bouquet Brooch - image 1 of 5

Founded in 1937 in Providence, Rhode Island, Carl-Art was owned by Arthur Loercher and Carl Schraysshuen. The company made jewelry in smaller, classic designs, some featuring rhinestones, sterling, and gold-filled fittings. They sold under their own name and also made jewelry for other companies including Walter Lampl. Carl died in 1953 and his wife sold their half of the company. The company closed in 1976.

This lovely classic floral bouquet features sprigs of two different spring flowers nestled among several long slender leaves. The brooch measures 3 1/8" in length, 1 3/8" in width and has a safety clasp mechanism. Stamped in an oval cartouche "1/20 12k gf" and CA with arrow mark. Wonderful vintage condition with no damages.
