The original company, Whitney and Rice Company, Attleboro, Massachusetts, was founded in 1875, but the name Napier Company was first used for jewelry in 1922.
This lovely Napier beaded necklace, circa 1980's, consists of a single strand of bright and brushed gold-tone beads, separated by smaller, bright, gold-tone spacer beads. The necklace measures 17" in length and has a fold-over clasp which is stamped "Napier - Pat. 4,774,743", which was issued in 1988. The condition is near mint with no damages or metal wear.
