The Tiffin Glass Company was founded in 1889 by A.J. Beatty in Tiffin, Ohio. Tiffin glass was billed as "America's Prestige Crystal" and was advertised as being "within reach of the limited budget". At one time the output of Tiffin was double that of A.H. Heisey and Cambridge. Production ceased in 1983.
This lovely sugar & creamer set is the "Cherokee Rose" pattern, circa 1941-1966. The motif consists of roses in bloom with an urn surrounded with flowers, scrolls and swags. The graceful round spheres form the handles. The pattern has many characteristics of the "June Night" pattern and would work together to create a beautiful table setting. The sugar measures 5" from handle-to-handle and 3" in height; the creamer measures 4 3/4" from spout-to-handle and 3" in height. There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
