Opalescent glass has been widely accepted since its inception in the 1880's. The major production covered 40 years (1880 - 1920) by famous American and European glass houses.
The Spanish Lace pattern was introduced by the Northwood Company to American collectors in 1899 and the pattern is also known as Opaline Brocade. Created in many shapes in clear, blue, cranberry, green and canary. This lovely, unmarked, rose bowl is canary and opalescent. It measures 4" in height and 4 1/4" in width. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Great pattern.
