The Cataract Sharpe Manufacturing Company of New York made no glass but were a cutting operation purchasing blanks for Libbey Glass and Bryce Brothers Glass during the 1930's thru mid-1940's. Libbey acquired Sharpe in 1947 and the cut crystal patterns were continued through the 1950's.
This lovely set of 6 cut crystal champagne/sherbets are the "Salon" pattern, stem #1023. The Salon pattern consists of a floral spray and bow/swag cut motif. The stem, #1023, is a combination of rings, diamond quilted and cut diamond designs. The champagne/sherbets measure 6 1/2" in height, 3 3/4" across the top and 2 7/8" across the base. There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
