A wonderful pair of vintage Art Deco wire rim eyeglasses in original case, circa 1930's. The fashionable "HiBo" style of the era, which refers to the placement of the hinges and generally utilizes a near round lens often called the P3 shape. These glasses are white gold with Art Deco design on the lens frame, nose bridge and first section of the side bars. The remainder of the side bars is a tightly coiled wire that can easily be adjusted for length and curvature around the ear. The nose bridge is stamped "HiBo 1.10 12K GF". They measure 4 1/4" from hinge-to-hinge. 7/8" between lens, with lens measuring 1 1/2" across. Good vintage condition with no damages; the case shows considerable wear on the top and lining is loose, but still intact, sturdy and usable. Great decorator item or accessory for your favorite period clothing.
