A lovely factory decorated bird game plate, featuring a single game bird in shades of vivid blue, brown, gray, white and black against a muted background or medium brown/orange hues and a variety of native grasses. The smooth edge is decorated with gold.

The plate is stamped in gray "Limoges France" and "L.R.L." with a crown, designating Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman a decorating factory during the 1920's, known for portrait and figural works of art on porcelain. The plate carries the signature of the artist "J Mongars". The decorating technique used was part transfer and part hand-painting. The plate measures 9 1/4" across with a factory drilled hole in the underside rim for hanging. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; several light scratches on the decoration.
