Walter Scott and Jonathan Cox founded the Ceramic Art Company in Trenton, New Jersey, in 1889. In 1906 when Cox left the company, the name was changed to Lenox Inc.
This lovely paddle-foot open swan salt is a soft gray/green color. The swan measures 4 1/2" in length, 2 1/2" in width and 3" in height. Stamped with Lenox "L" within a wreath, "Lenox" and "Made in USA", blue/green mark, circa 1930-1952. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Lovely.
