This beautiful set of 6 hand painted, floral motif plates, was executed in the home studio of Ella Watts (1868-1958) Mt Morris, Illinois.
Each plate in the set of 6 is decorated with a different floral motif which includes apple blossoms, roses, daisies, ivy vines and more. The color pallet includes a variety of shades in pink, green, blue, white, yellow, violet, brown and red. The plates measure 6" across with a narrow gold edge and are stamped "Favorite Bavaria", the export mark for white-ware used by C Hutschenreuther Co. Bavaria for the US wholesaler Burley & Tyrrell Co., Chicago, IL. All plates are signed "Ella Watts" and several include the date '10, indicating 1910. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. There are (2) matching sets of 6 available for sale.
