Fenton Cranberry Opalescent Hobnail Lamp Chimney Shade/Globe - image 1 of 7

Fenton Art Glass Company is the largest manufacturer of handmade colored glass in the United States today and among the foremost glass manufacturers in the world. Known for its beautiful colors and patterns, Fenton Art Glass continues an American tradition with its skilled glass-workers and talented decorators. Fenton Art Glass was founded in 1905 by brothers Frank L. and John W. Fenton. They began their business In Martins Ferry, Ohio, by painting decorations on glassware made by nearby manufacturers. Prompted in part by the desire to work with a broader range of colors, the brothers soon decided to produce their own glass, and opened the Fenton Art Glass factory in Williamstown, West Virginia in 1907. Traditional glass-making ceased in 2011.

Here are (2) two beautiful cranberry opalescent hobnail lamp chimney shades/globes, circa 1970's - 1980's era. The round bodies are covered by rows of hobnails graduating from smaller-to-larger-to -smaller in size, while the top is decorated with six deep ruffles. The shades measure 7 1/4" in height, 6" across the widest portion and have a 1 1/4" deep fitter ring measuring 3" across. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; may be some slight roughness on edge of fitter rings. The amount of opalescence varies from shade to shade with lovely cranberry color.
