This lovely ironstone brown transfer-ware gravy/sauce boat is the "Tournay" pattern, circa 1885. The aesthetic movement design consists of bell flower floral, leaves, scrolls and geometric forms. The gravy/sauce boat measures 8" in length from spout-to-handle, 3" in width and 4" in height. Stamped with the "Royal Arms Insignia - Royal Premium - T & R Boote - England" and English Register number "33645" indicating circa 1885 and pattern name "Tournay"; also "11" and blurred impressed number 30173. There are no cracks, or repairs; very light overall crazing. Great brown transfer-ware pattern.
