The Cataract Sharpe Manufacturing Company of New York made no glass but were a cutting operation purchasing blanks for Libbey Glass and Bryce Brothers Glass during the 1930's thru mid-1940's. Libbey acquired Sharpe in 1947 and the cut crystal patterns were continued through the 1950's.
This lovely pair of cut crystal tall sherbets/champagnes are listed as stem #2010 and cut #16. The stem has three distinct discs near the top with a tapered notched lower portion. The bowl and base is fully decorated with a cut floral and leaf motif. The piece piece measures 5 7/8" in height, 3 1/2" across the top and 2 3/4" across the base. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. There are (5) pairs available to build a set of 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 pieces.
