The Cambridge Glass Company was founded in 1901 in Cambridge, Ohio. During the 1920's and 1930's they were recognized as the largest manufacturer of elegant glassware. The Cambridge Glass Company ceased operations in 1958.
The very popular "Caprice" pattern #300 was introduced in 1936 and continued until the company closed. Made in various colors, Midnight Blue, has always been sought after. This very scarce footed cheese compote can be used along or with a large plate that would hold the crackers. It measures 2 3/4" in height, 4 1/2" across the top and 2 7/8" across the base. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Great piece.
