A lovely framed under glass motto entitled "Mother's Love" by Marygold Tsanya (1886-1979) from Sussex, England. The circa 1920's motto reads, "Mother's Love - Sweet as the song which the robins sing, Pure as the flow of a crystal spring, True as your faith in the God above, So deep are the depths of a Mother's love." The print shows a mother and young daughter strolling in a park setting while watching a duck family swimming in a pond.
The print and frame measures 11 3/4" in length and 7 1/2" in width. Marked "Marygold" and Reliance Picture Frame Company, New York, Chicago. In 1903 Jim, Aaron and Mickey Scheyer began manufacturing picture frames in Manhattan under the name of The Reliance Picture Frame Company, named after the renowned yacht, “Reliance”, winner of the America’s Cup and the pride of the United States. Wonderful vintage condition with only slight wear to the frame.
