While the Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire Ohio, was first organized in 1901 by a group of local investors, it wasn't until January 1904, that the first glass was made, and not until almost five years later that the beautiful iridized glass was created.
This lovely vintage red glass vase, circa 1950-1970, is decorated with an embossed floral motif completely covering the round body of the vase with a short, flared, gently scalloped clear red top. The piece has a wonderful gold iridescent sheen with blue highlights. The vase measures 6" in height, 5" across the body and 4 1/2" across the top. It is marked with the embossed "I" superimposed over the "G" mark, registered in 1953 and used until 1973. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; new mint.
