The carnival glass of interest to most collectors is an iridized pressed glass that was produced from shortly after the turn of the century into the late 1920's. Starting in 1907, the Fenton Art Glass Company became the first company to produce this type of glass and became one of the leading producers.
This beautiful bowl is the Chrysanthemum pattern and was first made in 1914. A unique pattern which incorporates lovely chrysanthemum blossoms and leaves along with images of windmills, trees and sailboats. The bowl has gorgeous iridescent shades of rich marigold with rose and blue highlights. The ruffled bowl measures 10" across, has a collar base and rests on three curled ball feet. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Great pattern.
