Bristol glass is a mold-blown, semi-opaque glass manufactured throughout Europe and exported to our shores during the Victorian era. It is usually pink, blue, white, beige or clams-broth in either a glossy or acid-finish and decorated with various motifs popular during the period of 1880-1915.
This beautiful, gracefully contoured white bristol vase is completely covered with enamel decoration. It is exquisitely decorated with hand painted rose/pink apple blossoms with yellow centers, large shaded gray leaves and yellow/orange stems against a creamy background with brushed gold highlights. Black bands, gold veins/stripes/bands/trim adds to it's beauty and class. The vase measures 11 3/4" in height, 4" across the base, 5 1/2" across the widest portion and 1 3/4" across the top opening. Maker is unknown, probably English origin. There are no cracks, chips, repairs or enamel wear; near mint.
