Celebrating 25 years of Antiquing Bliss
Charles Haviland & Co. Hand Painted Divided Relish w/Platinum Queen Anne's Lace Floral Motif - image 1 of 8

An American, David Haviland, was an importer of French and English porcelains during the early to mid-1800's. In 1849 he moved his family to Limoges, France, to begin his own porcelain manufacturing and decorating factory and as a result, Haviland China, was born. Upon his death in 1879, his two sons split the company. Charles formed Haviland & Co., while Theodore formed Theodore Haviland. These items are from the Charles Haviland Company.

This unique divided relish was decorated in a home-studio by a talented artist. The white porcelain blank is decorated with platinum Queen Anne's Lace blossoms, leaves and stems. The handle and border is also platinum enhanced.

The relish measures 7 3/4" in length, 7 1/2" in width and 3 1/4" to the top of the handle and is stamped "Haviland France" in green, circa 1894-1931. The artist's signature "B. Mullin" is on the underside. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint.
