Franz Detleff Goebel and his son William founded the F & W Goebel Company in 1871, located in Rodental, Germany.
This darling whimsical figural Elephant cream pitcher, circa 1935-1949, is a product of the Goebel Company. The seated elephant with raised trunk is bright orange with black feet and eyes. The creamer measures 5" in height, 5" in length and 2 1/2" in width. It is stamped in black with the Crown or TMK-1 mark and "Germany". The letters WG below the crown stand for William Goebel founder of the company. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; a slight paint rub on the edge of the trunk and forehead of the elephant. It is sure to make you smile.
