Hand painted china is beautiful and unique as it portrays the artists emotions and visions for the subject he or she is creating. This beautiful hand painted talcum powder dispenser, circa 1910, was created in a small home studio or professional studio environment by a very talented individual with great attention to detail and subject naturalism.
The motif is clusters of delicate pink and red rose blossoms nestled among soft green, blue-gray and brown leaves against a pastel yellow background. The base and top of the dispenser is a pastel blue with narrow gold bands separating the colors. The cover is a combination of gold and pastel blue. The artist's signature "Kreis" appears on the side. The talcum dispenser measures 5 1/4" in height and is stamped "Bavaria" on the base. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Gorgeous and scarce item.
