The Chikaramachi - Made in Japan back-stamp was used by the Noritake Porcelain Company on items manufactured by its' branch on Chikarmachi Street, Nagoya, Japan, circa 1928-1946. The company mark, in red or black, was a crown inside a wreath.
This lovely hand painted bowl, with cut-in handle, features a country lakeside motif of placid lake, trees, cottage and mountains in a pallet of vivid shades of blue lustre, russet, gold, blue-gray, green, yellow and black.
