Hand painted china is beautiful and unique as it portrays the artists emotions and visions for the subject he or she is creating. This beautiful hand painted cabinet plate was created in a small home studio environment by a very talented individual with great attention to detail and subject naturalism. It is part of a collection by a contemporary artist, circa 1960-1980, that is as good as the professional decorating studios of the early 1900's. The pieces are on unmarked porcelain blanks and are either signed "C Baver", "C B" or some are unsigned.
This lovely tea tile depicts a tranquil winter meadow scene consisting of large and smaller images of green pines, brown barren trees and grasses interspersed among the mounds of snow with a cold, winter, gray/white sky on the horizon. The tea tile measures 6 1/4" across with no cracks, chips or repairs. Initialed by the artist "C B" on the front.
