Hand painted china is beautiful and unique as it portrays the artists emotions and visions for the subject he or she is creating. This beautiful hand painted cabinet plate was created in a small home studio environment by a very talented individual with great attention to detail and subject naturalism. It is part of a collection by a contemporary artist, circa 1960-1980, that is as good as the professional decorating studios of the early 1900's. The pieces are on unmarked porcelain blanks and are either signed "C Baver", "C B" or some are unsigned.
This lovely covered dresser/trinket box displays sprays of white daisy blossoms, yellow centers and light brown highlights nestled among soft green foliage against a muted background of pale mint green, creamy yellow and tan. The sculptured rectangular box measures 5 1/2" in length, 3 1/2" across and 1 3/4" in height, with no cracks, chips or repairs. It is artist signed "C B" on the underside.
