The Wm. A Rogers Ltd Silverplate Company, circa 1900, created many beautiful flatware patterns. This lovely vintage grape design, named La Vigne, was introduced in 1908, was designed by William A Jameson. The bowl of the tea strainer has a border of grape clusters and leaves suspended from a heavy vine surrounding the wide flared rim and the handle also displays clusters of grapes clinging to the vines. The tea strainer measures 8 1/4" in length and is stamped "Pat.Jan.14.08" and "1881 (R) Rogers (R) A1" on the back of the handle. Wonderful vintage condition with no damages, nice patina, some minor light scratches from years of use. This is one of the rarest pieces from the La Vigne pattern.
