Hand painted china is beautiful and unique as it portrays the artists emotions and visions for the subject he or she is creating. This beautiful hand painted tea tile trivet, circa 1920, was created in a small home studio or professional studio environment by a very talented individual with great attention to detail and subject naturalism.
The motif is beautiful variegated purple wild violet blossoms nestled among soft shaded green and gray leaves with background hints of pale lavender against the white porcelain blank with beveled gold encrusted edge. The trivet measures 6 1/2" across; the porcelain blank is unmarked. There are no cracks or repairs. Lovely piece.
