Hand painted china is beautiful and unique as it portrays the artists emotions and visions for the subject he or she is creating. This beautiful hand painted egg-shaped salt & pepper shakers, circa 1900, was created in a small home studio or professional studio environment by a very talented individual with great attention to detail and subject naturalism.
The motif is beautiful blue and white forget-me-not blossoms nestled among a pastel pink wild rose and delicate soft gray leaves with background hints of pale blue against the white porcelain blanks. The shakers measure 2 1/2" in height, both are marked "Bavaria" and one is artist signed "Young". There are no cracks, chips or repairs
