Hand painted china is beautiful and unique as it portrays the artists emotions and visions for the subject he or she is creating. This beautiful hand painted tea cup and saucer, circa 1900, was created in a small home studio or professional studio environment by a very talented individual with great attention to detail and subject naturalism.
The motif is beautiful blue forget-me-not blossoms nestled among soft green and gray leaves with background hints of pale pink to rose against the white porcelain blanks. The cup has gold encrusted arched handle and three delicate scroll feet. The saucer measures 5 1/4" across and the cup measures 3" across and 2 7/8" in height. The saucer is stamped in green "T & V" designating Tressemann & Vogt Limoges, circa 1892-1907. There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
