The Maciel Silver Factory was based in Mexico City, Mexico, from 1930 until 1970, at No 6 Sadi Carnot. The company manufactured high quality silver hollow-ware and a limited line of flat-ware along with some jewelry which consisted of mostly cuff bracelets.
This fabulous set of 4 cordials, circa mid-century, is an excellent example of their quality craftsmanship. Each cordial displays three repousse floral and leaf motifs surrounding the bowl (Aztec Rose Pattern) The cordials are stamped "Maciel - 0.925 - Hecho en Mexico", a company mark of an urn containing the letters "S M" and the "Eagle" mark which was introduced in 1948. The cordials measure 3" in height, 1 1/2" across the top and 1 1/4" across the base. The set of 4 weights 5.2 ounces. There are no condition issues; wonderful patina. Two sets of 4 are available for purchase.
