Hand painted china is so beautiful and decorative no matter if executed in a factory decorating department, professional studio or home-studio environment. The quality and subject matter of the finished product is what really matters.
This beautiful hand painted footed bowl was created on a china blank by a talented artist in a small home-studio environment, circa 1900. The bowl is completed decorated with clusters of lush red and purple raspberries and white blossoms nestled among leaf covered branches in variegated autumn shades of green, brown and golden yellow against a soft pastel creamy background. The round bowl rests on three gold encrusted scroll feet as well as a gently scalloped gold decorated rim.
The bowl measures 7 1/2" across and 2 7/8" in height. It is stamped "AKD France", representing the A Klingenberg & Charles Dwenger factory which operated from 1890 - 1910. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint condition. Unfortunately the artist did not sign this piece of art.
