A.H.Heisey & Company of Newark, Ohio, first introduced the "Orchid" etched pattern in 1940 and it continued in production until the Heisey Company closed in 1957. During this time the "Orchid" pattern became Heisey's most popular etching.
This lovely set of 8 Heisey "Orchid" pattern salad plates are etched on Heisey Waverly blank #1519. The etching #507 has alternating panels of Orchid blossoms and ornate bow with delicate floral spray motif. The salad plates measure 8 3/8" across and are unmarked. There are no cracks, chips, scratches or repairs. A beautiful and graceful pattern for all ages. Additional items of this pattern are in my store.
