Royal Doulton has been producing porcelain ceramics and dinnerware for approximately 200 years. From a meager beginning in 1815, John Doulton, amassed one of the largest pottery and porcelain factories this world has ever known.
This adorable figurine is entitled "Wendy" depicts a darling young girl attired in a long, medium blue dress with pleated sleeves and bodice. She is wearing a medium blue and pink hat with long pink scarf tied in a large bow. In her left hand she is carrying a tan woven basket filled with red and yellow tulips. Light brown hair with hints of curls peek from under the hat framing her darling face. The figure was produced between 1953-1995. Stamped in green with the Royal Doulton logo, used from 1928-1973; "Bone China", "Wendy", "Copr 1952 - Doulton & Co Limited - Rd No 868303 - Rd No 30410 - Rd No 178/52 and Rd No 6636", with "HN 2109 and the decorators initials "PF" in script. The figurine measures 5 " in height with no cracks, chips or repairs. Great piece
