Celebrating 25 years of Antiquing Bliss
Coronet Limoges France Factory Decorated Charger Plate w/ Orange Tiger Lilies Motif - Signed Brisson - image 1 of 9

Coronet Limoges is linked to porcelain ware manufactured in Europe and decorated in studios in Limoges, Paris and Germany before exportation overseas. George Borgfeldt was a New York importer of porcelain with decorating studios in Paris and Germany.

This lovely charger plate was factory decorated using a technique called 'Mixtion', a process combining transfer designs along with hand painting. Circa 1910 it features four gorgeous orange tiger lily blossoms, tinged with soft pastel yellow, with long, slender variegated green leaves against a shaded background of pale to medium green. The wide, gently scalloped, embossed border is gold decorated. The charger plate measures 12" across and is artist signed "Brisson" on the front. It is stamped "France - BMoeM - Limoges" for the porcelain manufacturer and the Borgfeldt "Coronet" stamp, circa 1906-1920. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint and beautiful.
