Franz Detleff Goebel and his son William founded the F & W Goebel Company in 1871, located in Rodental, Germany. This lovely porcelain figurine is a Long Tail Titmouse, decorated in naturalistic shades of black, brown, gray and white, perched on leaf covered branch. The figurine has a glossy finish and is very life-like in appearance. The figurine measures 5 1/4" in height. Stamped with the TMK-4 mark, circa 1960-1972, "V" with bee, copyright logo & "by - W. Goebel - W.Germany". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; minute rough spot on tip of one wing.
