Antique Nippon Moriage Hand Painted Vase w/Rose Blossoms, Beads, Curled Handles & Footed
An exquisite antique, unmarked Nippon, Moriage vase, circa 1890-1910. The white body, handles and feet are decorated with a heavy moriage design in shades of soft yellow, peach and green along with medium green and dark brown beads against a moss green or medium tan background. Circling the body are six cartouches containing either a single or pair of beautiful hand painted rose blossoms in pastel pink or crimson; the neck has a repeating motif of roses. Surrounding the rose blossoms are hundreds of tiny light blue enamel beads and just above the four arched feet is a band of delicate white enamel arches and vertical rows of beads.
This gorgeous vase measures 6 3/4" in height and 5" across the widest part of the body. There are no cracks, chips, repairs or missing enamel or moriage; as near mint as you will find.
