A beautiful, as well as unique, pair of porcelain and real lace figurines, circa 1950's. The figurines portray a Victorian period German lady and gentleman attired in period clothing. The decorations are a combination of white porcelain, unglazed hand painted colors and bright gold enamel highlights along with the added elegance of real lace adornments on the costumes. The lady is carrying a basket of rose blossoms with her left arm, while the gentleman is holding a single rose blossom in his right hand. They figures measure 7 1/4" in height and are both stamped in red "Silco - Made In Japan". There are to cracks, chips or repairs; the lace has darkened slightly with age and there is a small rough area on the rim of the gentleman's hat.
