Occupied Japan is a tern used from the period from 1945 (after World War II) though April 24, 1952. Items manufactured during this period was to be so marked.
This is a lovely Art Deco style lady figurine. Attired in full-length dress, hat and gloves, she is braving a rather breezy summer day, slightly leaning into the wind while holding her hat from blowing away. The color pallet of rust, violet, orange, green, blue and gray with gold highlights presents a striking image. The figurine measures 6 1/2" in height and is stamped "Made in Occupied Japan". There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
