This darling figurine of a Sealyham Terrier is from a series inspired by the 1927 book "Dogs of Character" by Cecil Aldin. It portrays the terrier in a standing position, head and tail erect. The terrier, which is mostly white in color has the distinctive medium brown markings. The modeller(s) for this figurine is unknown. The terrier measures 3 1/2" in length and 2 5/8" in height. It was produced from 1938-1959 and is stamped with the company logo and "Royal Doulton - Made In England - H.N. 2509" with the decorators initial "B". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint. Great figurine.
