A wonderful Mid-Century Western belt buckle for the man in the house. It portrays in exquisite detail an Atzec Sun Stone/Maya Calendar in the center, surrounded radiant etched lines, scrolls and other designs. The buckle measures 3 1/4" in length, 2 1/8" in width and will accommodate a belt up to 2" in width. It is stamped "La Esperanza - DG5 - 0925 - Guad,Jal,Mex - 60" and the Eagle mark "4". The Eagle mark was used form 1948-1979. The buckle was made in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Great vintage condition with a few minor scratches from wear and lots of original patina. It can be polished to a gleaming silver finish.
