The Fostoria Glass Company was built in 1887 at Fostoria, Ohio, but by 1891 had moved to Moundsville, West Virginia, where it remained until operations ceased in 1986. By the late 1930's, Fostoria was recognized as the largest producer of handmade glassware in the world.
The Fostoria glass company did not make a lot of opalescent glass but during the 1960's introduced the 'Heirloom' pattern in shades of orange, yellow, pink, green and white. This lovely pair of candle holders is in the green and represent a large floral blossom with upturned petals in the back. The candle holders measure 8 1/2" from side-to-side, 7" from front-to-back and 3 1/2" in height. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Lovely modern, but time-less pattern for your enjoyment.
